Tyson Sy makes it 3 in a row

(07 May 06) Tyson Sy romped away to his third win of the weekend, with John O’Hara getting best of a fraught race for second. Satrio Hermanto won the Promotions Class.

Sy once again was able to drive away from the squabbling pack and took another accomplished win. John O’Hara made a storming start from the back of the grid and was up to fifth by the end of the first lap. He was soon in fourth place and was further helped when Battistini and Jackson tangled at the first turn. Battistini rejoined in 8th place whilst Jackson was not delayed too much. Pena drove a controlled race and finished third behind O’Hara with Jackson and Winslow in tow.

Satrio Hermanto was not troubled in his drive to first place in the Promotions Class with JP Tuason second. Gaby dela Merced finished third, just after she clashed with fellow Filipina, Michele Bumgarner, at the final turn on the last lap. Bumgarner ended her race in the gravel. Bumgarner had stalled at the start for a third time and had driven well to catch the field.
